The album was recorded in Årsta and Herräng. Rickard’s brother, Magnus Jäverling, contributes with additional electronic strings on Sekvenser.
The songs on Spektrum were, as well as on Musik för vänskap, recorded in a stream of consciousness fashion. Nothing written in advance and often relying on first takes. However the post production on Spektrum was given more time and some elements were added in additional takes to expand the sonic horizon. Musically it adds new dimensions to Jäverling ◇ von Euler’s palette diving deeper into slow melodic ambient with influences from both soul and jazz.
